Serra Museum on Presidio Hill

The human spirit so often longs for the way things used to be, or perhaps as we wish them to have been. The vintage photo of the day is a beautiful post card image from Bunnell photo shop from the early 1930's. This is one of my favorite images. It is so hard to imagine San Diego ever looked like this, it must have been a paradise. I'm amazed at the blank slate Presidio Hill and Presidio Park are in the photo. Give your permanent plantings a great deal of consideration, and thought to the future. What horticultural legacy will you leave behind? What would you have planted on those bare slopes?
